Montréal, December 4, 2023 — Once again this year, the Agence de mobilité durable is offering free overnight parking spaces during snow-removal operations carried out by the Ville de Montréal. A total of 2,318 spaces will be available in 16 parking lots in seven boroughs. The spaces will be available to citizens from 9 p.m. until 7 a.m. the next day and are in addition to the 5,653 spaces made available by the Ville de Montréal.

As soon as the Ville de Montreal starts a snow removal operation, citizens will be able to park their vehicles in the participating lots. They may not park their vehicles in areas reserved for permit holders. Compliance with all posted signs is also mandatory. The spaces must be vacated by 7 a.m. to allow regular parking to resume.

“Once again, the Agence de mobilité durable will contribute to snow removal activities by providing more than 2,300 parking spaces free of charge during such operations. Snow clearing after storms can be a stressful time for Montrealers. This initiative will help facilitate the city’s operations and make life easier for road users,” explained Laurent Chevrot, the Agence de mobilité durable’s General Manager.

For the list of parking lots available to citizens, visit the Agency’s snow-clearing page or contact customer service at 514-868-3737.

Citizens can also consult the Ville de Montréal’s snow-removal map or the Info Neige Montréal app to track the progress of snow removal. The INFO-Remorquage online service can be used to find vehicles towed because of non-compliance when street parking is temporarily prohibited.
