Stationnement de Montréal – Netiquette

The General Management of Société en commandite Stationnement de Montréal (hereinafter referred to as "Stationnement de Montréal") wishes to outline the conditions for use of its social media in order to specify how the company communicates with its users and manages its social media accounts.

1. What is netiquette?

Netiquette is a set of rules for conduct and decorum online, including behaviours and attitudes that should be avoided. It sets out values for successful cooperation that include tolerance, respect for others, listening and courtesy.

2. Objectives of use

We use social media to broaden our channels of communication and publish information in a more instantaneous and dynamic way. Stationnement de Montréal uses these tools to promote its products and services and communicate relevant information to the users of its services in the Montréal area. The accounts are also used to inform subscribers of a variety of parking-related information.

Stationnement de Montréal's social media accounts are not places of debate or political expression or demands and are intended to be purely informative.

It should be noted that the fact that Stationnement de Montréal follows users' accounts on Twitter and/or posts comments by certain individuals or groups on Facebook does not imply endorsement, support or encouragement of those activities or comments.

Stationnement de Montréal at all times reserves the right to block or delete a subscriber's account if it deems the behaviour or comments to be inappropriate. In addition, external links do not represent Stationnement de Montréal sponsorship or endorsement of or association with a third party.

The content (notably text, images, audio or video and any other digital file) and vocabulary must be courteous, respectful and decent.   • are incomprehensible or irrelevant;
  • are not related to the topics addressed;
  • are advertising or promotional; and
  • any other comment or remark that Stationnement de Montréal deems inappropriate.

Individuals or groups that do not comply with these conditions may be temporarily or permanently barred from Stationnement de Montréal's social media.

Further, users who contact Stationnement de Montréal via social media assume full responsibility for their comments and the information posted about them. They use the platforms at their own risk and Stationnement de Montréal accepts no responsibility in that regard.
